Four new hostels will come up in Panjab University's South Campus in Sector 25 soon. A decision in this regard was taken at the Syndicate meeting held in the university on Tuesday. A committee set up for the purpose had earlier approved of only two hostels, but later gave its nod to all four.

The Rotary Club of Chandigarh in association with the Advanced Eye Care Centre of the PGI launched the 'Gift of Sight' project here today. Under the project, the Rotary Club will spend over Rs 19 lakh to restore eyesight to about 160 poor patients who require complicated vitreoretinal surgery.
