Enterprise Collaboration and Virtual Teams Report (April 24, 2008)

Thu, 24 Apr 2008 01:53:56 PDT
The People Part of Enterprise Collaboration and Virtual Teams Dennis argues that Forrester is thinking wrongly in its projection of $4.6 billion for Enterprise 2.0 by 2013, especially about the inclusion of collaboration. "It is when Forrester strays into the collaborative workspace that I believe they’re over reaching. They make the implicit assumption that major players like IBM and Microsoft will subsume Web 2.0 software into existing collaborative offerings. They argue that a combination

Sat, 19 Apr 2008 15:38:36 PDT

While this is an alarming trend, especially with larger, higher-profile builders, it’s also an important lesson to be aware of.

Eco-friendly inventions for household appliances

Thu, 24 Apr 2008 04:05:43 PDT
The current mania for all things eco is producing a fair number of impressive innovations in addition to the expected gimmicks. An example of the former is “Eco Tokukun” from Kankyo Souken, a product to make your household fish grill more environmentally friendly. These small stones, made from recycled paper sludge and silica, aluminum oxide, and calcium oxide and designed to lie in the bottom of the gas grill, promise to cut carbon emissions from the cooking process by 25%. They also incre

Differentiation of Instruction in the Classroom

Sat, 19 Apr 2008 22:54:08 PDT

I opine that what is claimed to be addressed by this allegedly "new" thinking and pedagogical approach, is neither adequately addressed in most cases, nor new. What would be new is a long-term commitment to it, unswayed by trend, fed by data.

Ads on Contraception: How Far is TOO Far?

Thu, 24 Apr 2008 05:27:44 PDT
